The New Meitner PRE Preamplifier: Pure Class A Power
Ed Meitner believes that "an analog preamp acts as the heart of every music system". Who am I to argue with Ed Meitner over matters of the heart?
The new Meitner PRE Preamplifier embodies a healthy helping of tech from the reference EMM Labs preamplifier including a contactless switching system and a discrete dual-balanced signal path. A pair of RCA inputs are joined by a balanced input while single-ended and balanced output pairs can be used simultaneously while its pure class-A power stage can effortlessly drive cables and loads.
The proprietary software-driven analog volume control promises zero degradation in sound quality over its full range and Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) specs require 3 decimal points past 0 to register, according to the company.
The new Meitner PRE Preamplifier is shipping now for $7,500.
